Pakistan Forces Neutralize 34 India-Backed Militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations

Pakistan Forces Eliminate 34 Militants in KP Operations

Pakistan’s secu-rity forces neutralized 34 India-backed militants during three intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations took place between October 13 and 15 in North Waziristan, South Waziristan, and Bannu.

In North Waziristan’s Spinwam area, troops engaged militants after detecting movement. They eliminated 18 individuals following an intense exchange of fire.
Meanwhile, eight militants fell in South Waziristan, and another eight were taken down in Bannu.
Security teams now continue sanitization drives to clear leftover threats from these districts.

“Azm-e-Istehkam” Campaign Moves Ahead with Full Force

These actions form part of the national counterterrorism effort “Azm-e-Istehkam.”
The federal apex committee approved this initiative under the National Action Plan (NAP) to reinforce peace across Pakistan.
Moreover, it strengthens coordination between law enforcement and military agencies.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the troops for their precision and professionalism.
They emphasized that such successful operations show the nation’s resilience and resolve.
As a result, the campaign continues at full pace to dismantle foreign-sponsored networks.

    Cross-Border Concerns Fuel Security Drive

Tensions between Islamabad and Kabul have recently increased.
Pakistan continues to urge Afghanistan’s interim administration to prevent the use of its territory by militant factions.
Since the Taliban’s return to power in 2021, militant activities have surged, particularly along the KP and Balochistan borders.

Reports confirm that TTP elements operate from Afghan soil.
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has also highlighted these links in a recent monitoring report.
Therefore, Pakistan remains focused on strengthening border management and improving intelligence cooperation to counter these threats.

Commitment to Peace and National Stability

Through “Azm-e-Istehkam,” Pakistan’s secu-rity institutions reaffirm their commitment to peace and regional stability.
Their coordinated IBOs show determination to eliminate all foreign-backed threats.
Furthermore, these operations underline the armed forces’ readiness to protect national sovereignty at all costs.

The government and military leadership have reiterated that efforts will not slow down.
Together, they aim to ensure lasting peace and restore normalcy across conflict-prone areas.
Consequently, the campaign stands as a clear message against extremism and external interference.
