The Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a live weapon firing of the Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile, an indigenously developed anti-ship system, marking a significant demonstration of precision strike capability and operational readiness at extended ranges.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the missile system validated the Navy’s ability to detect, track, and neutralize hostile sea-based threats with high accuracy. The test underscores Pakistan Navy’s expanding multi-domain strike capability and its focus on modern maritime deterrence.
Officials described the successful trial as an important milestone in strengthening maritime defence and enhancing overall operational preparedness. The achievement reflects growing indigenous capability in advanced weapons development and integration.
The President, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), and all Services Chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers involved, acknowledging the system as a major step forward in national defence self-reliance.
