Reko Diq Mining Company has launched a community mentorship programme in Balochistan

Reko Diq Mining Company has trained over 114 men and women from villages near its copper-gold project in Balochistan, equipping them with job-ready skills through a community mentorship programme.

    Skill Development for Future Opportunities

Reko Diq Mining Company (RDMC) has launched a Community Mentorship Training Programme aimed at preparing young men and women in villages surrounding its copper-gold project in Balochistan for workforce opportunities. The initiative reflects RDMC’s long-term commitment to developing local talent and bridging the gap between vocational education and real-world employment.

    Training Reaches Over 114 Participants

So far, more than 114 participants have benefited from interactive training sessions conducted directly in their communities. Villages such as Humai, Durbin Chah, and Tang Kachao have hosted these sessions, led by RDMC’s human resources department.

The program covers CV writing, interview techniques, professional communication, and workplace conduct, ensuring that participants gain practical skills to secure jobs in diverse industries.

    Women’s Inclusion a Key Priority

A major focus of the initiative is women’s inclusion. Dedicated sessions have been organized to prepare women for future employment opportunities within RDMC and beyond. This approach aims to ensure that women from neighbouring villages can actively contribute to the region’s economic growth.

“In developing the mine, we believe in creating meaningful opportunities for the people of Balochistan — especially our neighbouring villages and the wider Chagai district,” said Inayatullah, RDMC’s Human Resources Lead.
