Armed assailants launched a brutal attack on a house in Turbat, Balochistan, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including a woman and a child, and leaving one person injured, according to Levies officials on Monday.
The assault, which took place in the Kech district, involved both gunfire and a bomb explosion. “Three people, including a woman and a child, were killed, and one person was injured in the attack,” Levies officials reported.
Balochistan’s Interior Minister, Mir Ziaullah Langove, strongly condemned the attack and expressed his sorrow over the loss of innocent lives. He demanded a comprehensive report on the incident from the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Turbat.
“The deliberate targeting of innocent children and women in this act of terrorism is utterly cowardly. We stand in solidarity with the grieving family during this time of profound sorrow. Those responsible for the deaths of innocent and vulnerable people will face justice soon,” Langove asserted.
He called upon human rights organizations to vocally oppose the brutal killing of women and children, stressing that those engaged in such acts of terrorism should receive no clemency.
Expressing deep regret over the deaths caused by the explosion, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti stated, “The loss of precious human lives in this tragic incident is deeply distressing. The hands stained with the blood of the innocent will soon be caught by the law.”
Meanwhile, the Awami National Party (ANP) condemned the bomb attack and the deaths of women and children, emphasizing that terrorists aim to instill fear in the public.
“Targeting innocent and defenseless civilians is unacceptable under any circumstances. Those involved in such acts are enemies of humanity,” declared an ANP spokesperson. “The government and relevant agencies must deal firmly with these elements and set a strong example.”
The incident has sparked widespread condemnation and calls for justice, as authorities work to apprehend those responsible for this heinous act of violence in Turbat.
