Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, delivered a direct and powerful address to the officers of the 52nd Common Training Program, laying out an unambiguous warning to India while defining Pakistan’s vision of unity and resilience.
He made it clear that Pakistan’s progress and security depend on an unbreakable bond between the people, the government, and the armed forces. Emphasizing the vital role of civil administration and bureaucracy, he urged them to ensure harmony among all state institutions—a duty crucial to national stability.
Field Marshal Munir highlighted the exemplary coordination displayed during the historic “Battle for Truth,” where Pakistan decisively countered India’s unjustified aggression from the Line of Control to the coastal borders. He credited divine support for this victory, affirming that Pakistan stood on the side of truth.
He issued a blunt and resolute message to India: Pakistan has never accepted Indian hegemony and will never do so. He called out India as the region’s biggest state sponsor of terrorism, exposing its hypocrisy and destabilizing ambitions. Field Marshal Munir also underscored that India’s own internal terrorism problem is a consequence of its discriminatory and oppressive policies toward minorities, especially Muslims.
Regarding Afghanistan, he affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to good relations with its brotherly neighbor but demanded clear action against Indian-backed terror proxies operating on Afghan soil. This, he insisted, is essential for regional peace.
He urged Pakistanis to rise above regional and ethnic divides, embrace a shared national identity, and place love for the country and loyalty above all else. Officers, he said, must cultivate courage, competence, and character, with character being paramount.
Acknowledging that every system has flaws, Field Marshal Munir called on civil servants to prevent negative forces from overwhelming the system. He warned against forgetting Pakistan’s history, reminding everyone that nations which abandon their past have no future. Passing down Pakistan’s story to future generations, he stressed, is a duty for all.
This address was not just guidance for new officers. It was a national call to unite behind Pakistan’s flag, its institutions, and its armed forces, who have never and will never bow to any enemy.
Pakistan Zindabad.
