Punjab Police successfully foiled a major attack by foreign terrorists on the Lakhnai border checkpost in the past three days. According to details, a group of 20 to 25 terrorists armed with modern and heavy weapons launched an assault on the border post in DG Khan’s Wahwa police station area, located on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border. However, the police swiftly responded and forced the attackers to retreat.
A spokesperson for the police stated that the elite force, Rangers, and CTD swiftly took action, leading to the terrorists suffering heavy casualties and fleeing. The post’s security personnel used advanced thermal imaging cameras to detect the terrorists’ approach in real-time.
Under the leadership of DPO Syed Ali, the Elite Force and QRFT teams responded quickly and reached the scene. Punjab IG Dr. Usman Anwar praised the officers for successfully repelling the terrorist attack. A search operation is ongoing in the area by police and other law enforcement agencies.
