Six terrorists killed in South Waziristan operation: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: At least six terrorists were killed in an intelligence based operation in South Waziristan on Wednesday, ISPR said.
According to ISPR, the forces conducted an IBO in general area Kot Azam, South Waziristan District, on reported presence of terrorists.
During the conduct of operation, intense fire exchange occurred between security forces and terrorists, resulting in killing of six terrorists, the ISPR said.
The ISPR added that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces as well as extortion and targeted killing of innocent citizens.
Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area. Locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism, the ISPR maintained
