PM and COAS Attend Funeral Prayers of Shaheed Rangers Officials
The funeral prayers of three Rangers officials, who embraced Shahadat during an ongoing protest, were offered on Tuesday at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, and senior civil and military officials attended the solemn ceremony, according to a press release by the PM Office Media Wing.
PM Condemns Violence and Pays Tribute
Speaking at the occasion, the Prime Minister condemned the violence, terming it unacceptable and aimed at disrupting national stability.
“Pakistan cannot afford any chaos and bloodshed for achieving vested political purposes. These acts of violence are unacceptable and highly condemnable. The entire nation pays homage to the martyred Rangers soldiers and police officials who embraced Shahadat and those injured during these riots,” the PM remarked.
Honoring the Shaheed Heroes
The fallen heroes were identified as:
- Naik Muhammad Ramzan Shaheed (47 years, District Karak)
- Sepoy Gulfam Khan Shaheed (29 years, District Rawalpindi)
- Sepoy Shah Nawaz Shaheed (33 years, District Sibi)
Their sacrifices were acknowledged with full military honors as their bodies were transported to their native hometowns for burial.
The Shuhada will be laid to rest with due respect, symbolizing the nation’s gratitude for their ultimate sacrifice in upholding law and order.
