Bilawal Reaffirms Pakistan’s Unwavering Solidarity with the People of Palestine

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reaffirmed the country’s strong and unshakable support for the people of Palestine. He said every Pakistani stands with Gaza during one of the darkest chapters in modern history.

Speaking at an event in Karachi, Bilawal said Pakistan has witnessed the ongoing tragedy in Gaza for the past two years. He described the killings of civilians as a historic genocide, particularly of children. Doctors and journalists, he noted, have also faced ruthless violence.

    Pakistan’s Voice for Gaza

Bilawal stated that Egypt accepted a ceasefire agreement following the continuous killings. However, he warned that many fear this truce may not last long. “The Muslim Ummah is watching. This time, no one will escape accountability,” he said firmly.

He also paid tribute to Senator Raza Rabbani, who announced he would title his upcoming book after a child of Gaza. Bilawal said this act would hold a special place in history and literature, adding that his mother, Benazir Bhutto, always encouraged people to write and document the truth.

Remembering PPP’s Legacy and Sindh’s Achievements

The former foreign minister highlighted Sindh’s development during the tenure of senior PPP leader Qaim Ali Shah, the province’s longest-serving chief minister. Bilawal said that under his leadership, the Sindh Economic Zone gained international recognition. “Sindh’s industrial zone ranks first, while Khairpur’s economic zone stands second,” he added proudly.

He emphasized that the PPP’s competition is not provincial but global, calling for unity and innovation to meet international challenges. He also mentioned that the NICBD offers some of the largest free healthcare services in the world, with several public–private partnerships operating successfully.

    BISP and National Resilience

Bilawal highlighted that the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) continues to receive global recognition. He said that the programme not only helps vulnerable families but also strengthens Pakistan’s federation.

Recalling the 2022 floods, Bilawal said Sindh suffered immense losses as two million homes were destroyed. He praised the federal government’s quick response under the prime minister, who immediately declared a national emergency and invited the UN Secretary-General to witness the devastation firsthand.

A Call for Unity and Compassion

Concluding his speech, Bilawal stressed that Pakistan’s solidarity with Palestine is not symbolic—it is moral and historic. He urged the Muslim world to unite for justice, peace, and human dignity.

“The people of Gaza are not alone. Pakistan stands with them today and always,” Bilawal said, receiving strong applause from the audience.
